Ascensionites at Munnar
Seventy two of our Ascension members with an age group ranging from five to eighty four had a memorable trip to Munnar on Saturday, 8th of April 2017. It was a successful culmination of the initiative of our Achen and our Church Elders to foster better fellowship of our members and all arrangements had been meticulously planned well in advance. The entire trip which started at 6 :30 in the morning ,extended up to 10 :00 in the night ,was greatly appreciated and achieved its intended objectives fully.
The visit to the CSI Christ Church, Munnar, which is a landmark heritage church built way back in 1910 by the Scottish tea estate managers with its stone walls, stained glass windows, and rosewood pews will always remain in the memory of all those who took part in this trip. The scenic Mattupetty Dam, panoramic view of the tea estates and the experience of shopping the hill products of Munnar were other memorable attractions of the trip.
Ascensionites thank and praise the Lord for the safe and unforgettable journey they all had to Munnar.
